Distgusted! Today I was yelled at by one of the doctors for asking too many questions and wasting the doctors time while I had a toddler in my arms. All I asked is for blood test and antibiotics I had to tell the doctor what I needed as he had no clue then when I asked what the rash on my face was we were pushed out the door. Not to mention he refused to examine a lump my mum had found during her appointment. I had no words on how I felt I was just in tears!
The GP's are great. receptionist very abrupt and rude. I tried to get an appointment today with my GP, spoke to Donna on reception, I was told that the earliest I could get was mid Feb, so I asked about another GP who I see at the practice sometimes and was told not until the middle of December, I explained that I needed to discuss the results of my recent procedure and that I had a chronic illness and need to get repeat prescriptions, I was told I could have the scripts if I paid for them, I explained that would be difficult for me as I find it hard enough having to pay for the medications every month and I'd never had to pay for them before, she told me because I had requested them, that I had to pay for them, I said I couldn't afford that, so she said OK then and hung up.
I had no problems with the receptionist in booking the appointment I wanted and did not have to hold for long either. When I arrived for the appointment, I had to wait for a few minutes which is the same everywhere. The doctor was good and this centre also has a chemist which I found to be quite handy.
Hi :) I think this practice is great. Yes I have to wait at least a few weeks to see my regular doctor...but she's worth it...she does not take on new clients as she understands that with more her patients would have even longer intervals between appointments....I think very fair and thoughtful. She's in demand precisely because she is a WONDERFUL doctor...very knowledgeable and caring, so I understand. I also believe that if I had an emergency that I felt couldn't be appropriately handled by a doctor at a walk-in clinic (which I occasionally visit for convenience between appointments for things that might arise) because of past medical history, she would fit me in. I think that the reception staff are fine...no complaints...and have only once been required to wait longer than a few minutes to get through on the phone. I imagine they were simply too busy with clients that, if they were at the counter before my call, had every right to be seen to first. (I hate it when ...read more
