Very disappointed. We hired them to video our daughter's wedding. It was 9 months before we saw the first draft copy. They didn't film the bride's parents entering the reception because they"weren't ready".They said it was only 1 set of parents they missed! There was a particular important song which we told them had to be included but there was only a small part of it. They said they would add all the song but would not let us see the amended footage until we had paid the balance. This argument went on until we gave in and paid 21 months after the event but the song was not all there despite them claiming it was. I was told I was making a fuss "over only 3 verses". When we said we would contact Fair Trading the response was "Whatever". We would not recommend Passion for Pixels to anyone.
at times in Business you are going to come across difficult people and yes in particular they have been nothing but a nightmare to deal with. Yes we missed one of the parents entering the reception as the MC neglected to inform us. Yes part of a song was missed from the service. Customer wanted the finished product without paying the balance absolutely not. I tried on a number of occasions to meet up with client to show the changes, at all times this request was denied. End of the day..customer never wanted to pay for the balance and were looking for reasons not to pay the balance. Fair Trading say that a service as this "should be carried out with due skill &care and provided within a reasonable time frame".
They used an outside editor who they admitted had given them problems.If we had known this we would never have hired them. It took 9 months to get a first draft.
Yes they did ask to meet but my son in law was working shifts & my daughter didn't feel comfortable meeting them alone. Fair trading asked why they didn't just send a ...read more
I AGREE WITH Mombit!
An utter waste of time, energy, and money. DO NOT consider using this service. Zero level of professionalism. Once 80% of the money is paid, you are locked in to a long, stressful and unpleasant battle to receive your goods.
No response to Millymook's comments then - not unexpected really. You're perhaps fortunate, Millymook as the last email I received. I forwarded this nasty email to the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers as I think they should know what their members are doing. If you are a member of a professional institute then you should ALWAYS behave in a professional manner. The AIPP have a Code of Ethics. After reading it, I'm quite sure that blaming the client and then threatening them (for simply telling the truth) is not acceptable behaviour
We had them on Saturday and we found the staff terrific and helpful in all ways
