Pasticceria Papa

Haven't been inside since the big renovation and refurbishment but I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh it all looks. Nice leather seating and lots of lighting. I was served by a happy young lady who was quick and efficient. I got some cakes to take away and they were full of fresh ricotta and vanilla cream, soft and super tasty.

What's not to love about Papa's? One of my favourite places in Sydney, there is such a huge range of cakes, Italian pastries & biscuits as well as savoury items. My favourite is of course the ricotta cheesecake. Classic is always best but the Nutella version is also amazing, filled with oozing nutella. The limited choc chip version was nice but not something I would go out of my way for. Also enjoyed their tiramisu as it was quite strong with coffee flavour & boozy! The paninis, especially the one with roast pork is delicious. They make a great coffee too.

This place is always pumping!! And if there isn't a line out the door and a bit down the street then you've come at a slow period! Of which there aren't many...

They do sweeties, bread, coffee, tea, pizza, and some heavenly mixtures of cannoli's and other things.

Ok I use not to like there famous cheese cake but now after my 5th tasting I can now see what the hype is all about!

I've been to Pappa's three times already in the short space of a month so clearly I can't get enough of it! Its not a place for crazy, uniquely plated desserts but it's the go to for homemade, traditional Italian sweets. 
You can't help but get super excited just as you walk through the door with the long cabinet of cannoli, pastries, tarts and cakes. Everything comes with its generous dusting of icing sugar!
