Paul's Aquariums and Ponds

I've been going to Paul's Aquarium for about 6 months and find the service excellent, you will need to wait your turn because they are usually busy, staff are happy to spend as much time with you as you need and answer all questions. They will not tell you fish breeds are compatible just for the sake of a sale. I agree with Steven below that they are not up-selling to you constantly which is refreshing. Another thing I like is that the tanks are never overcrowded and nearly every time I have been in the shop I have seen someone either cleaning the tanks or performing water tests. While I have seen the occasionally injured fish (totally inevitable when fishes like to nip each other) I have never seen diseased fish with white/black spot, fungus etc. Excellent shop

Paul's aquarium has a huge range of marine and freshwater fish as well as some incredible displays of giant fish, turtles and spiders.



Staff have great expertise in fish keeping and are always able to answer my questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner. I never feel like Im getting up-selled either which is rare in a specialist aquarium.



Some things can be a little pricier than other regular pet shops but the health and quality of their stock more than makes up for this, as well as the great advice they give. Have bought plants fish and equipment from this store and have been 100% satisfied every time.
