stopped off for lunch on our way to holiday on SE Gippsland on Boxing day, surprised to find the caf open. lovely elderly gentlemen running this simple caf on his own! not a lot to choose from as you would expect on a public holiday so we shared 2 steak sandwiches which were nicely presented with some bread, tomato and greens on the side and a juicy piece of steak. the meals were tasty and old fashioned, I dont eat alot of steak but it was tender and sufficient. iced coffees were made with coffee syrup rather than coffee from his coffee machine and were really just milk shakes as they had no coffee taste at all so we gave them to the kids but I'm not complaining. plenty of lovely outside garden area with sunshine and lovely shading trees, as well as plenty of inside seating on wooden floorboards with some artwork on walls and clean toilet- very "country vibe. hope the gentlemen does very well with his business and we congratulate and thank him for his hospitality ...read more
