Hidden suburban gem - the shopfront is dingy but the interior inside is hip with a party atmosphere. Getting a table can be hard because the Canterbury locals love this spot! And it's with good reason - the share plates of broadly Middle Eastern cuisine are great. We've even had them takeaway when we were craving salads and harissa-roasted chicken but the queue seemed too long to wait. I'm a fan of the watermelon salad with long ribbons of cheese.
The shopfront is quite small and since it is sitting next to some run down old shops on Canterbury Road, it is quite hard to spot. It was my second time here and it did not disappoint. My parents, who are quite picky at restaurants had a great time too. We were sitting in the outdoor garden and when the vibes were great. We ordered 6 dishes to share among the 4 of us and we were all full at the end of it. Our favourite dishes were the Black genoa figs, burrata and hazelnut dukkah and the pork carnitas tacos plate. It is a great restaurant for larger groups because you can try many more dishes. Definitely worth a try!
Loved dining at Pazar Food Collective. The food is amazing, full of flavour.
So rare to find local gems like this.
Really enjoyed the labne, fried zucchini and lamb dishes. Can't wait to go back and try everything else.
Did find that the ice cream in the ice cream sandwich was a weird texture - stringy, would be better if they warmed the churros too.
Can't wait to go back.
This place is a diamond in the rough. Park on Goulding street and walk down. Don't park across the road otherwise you'll struggle crossing the road. The atmosphere is neighbourly and warm. The food is simple and delicious and full of flavour . I highly recommend the lamb and the pide.
