Everything in the Hunter Valley is expensive. Not the accommodation at Peden's Hotel though; and it's for a reason, it is very basic and there is no sound proofing.

Pub section - awesome.
Restaurant - minus scores.
Food is FAR too expensive, menu is not pub food and we struggled to find something we would enjoy. Nearly 1 hours wait and
$18 for rissoles and mash, which consisted of 2 medium rissoles and some instant mashed potato.
The pub seems popular but I wouldn't eat here again. The menu needs some $12 pub meals and another 2 staff to hurry things along.
