Peninsula Pantry

We have talked about going there for a long time because the locals keep talking about it. Now we're converts. The food is great, service is friendly and professional prices are reasonable. To be able to attract such a following away from the main drag they must be doing something right.

a long weekend spent in rye. where to go for a yummy breakfast splurge? i'd heard the buzz, i'd read reviews but when i heard what i assumed was a local talking about it, my mind was made up - i had to go! its in what appears to have been an old milk bar in a residential street. but upon walking in its like stepping into a "family". everyone is happy to have a chat & all seem proud to work there. the menu is small but every item is appealing. We got the breakfast ciabatta & the brekkie wrap. this leads me to my only issue - the serving sizes are small! but being on a diet they were probably portion appropriate. but the lack of size was made up for by the flavour. yummo! we got one of their award winning vanilla slices & double choc lamingtons to go. another issue - the price, but again, i think i'm the kinda guy that likes it big & tasty. what you get here is ultra tasty in small bite size portions - all the taste without all the guilt! maybe peninsula pantry can use that!
