When Penrith City Library upgraded to their new building many years ago, the people of Penrith were suitably impressed with the new premises and services offered by the library. I being among those citizens. Having left the city of Penrith to relocate to a number of different areas in N.S.W, - and then a return to Penrith for a few short months more recently, it has to be said that one would be hard pressed to find a local City Council Library as well stocked, serviced and positioned as the Penrith City Council Library. I have since relocated to the bayside area of Melbourne, one where the people perceive them self as advantaged, and again, I can't help but compare the services provided by Penrith Library with all here I have seen to date. Visiting Penrith Library is always a pleasure, and an impressive factor is the extended operating hours, allowing access right throughout the weekend and well into the weekday evenings.
