Penrith Hotel

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING ACCOMMODATION. I recently stayed there for one week with my daughter. The place was dirty, noisy, with mould on the walls and damp bedding, There were silverfish and other bugs crawling in the bathroom.The old, sash windows were wedged open with a piece of wood (letting in the noise of the busy High Street) because the ceiling fan was broken and the room was stifling. No fan in the bathroom. Opening the door to the room to let in some air invited the noise from the generator and the loud music from the pub below. The $10, plastic, electric kettle with an open, broken lid emitted steam everywhere and had to be plugged in within centremetres of the TV as there was nowhere else.... The staff in the Pub below take your visa card and full payment (including key deposit) prior to showing you to your room. There was no-one available to return my key deposit when I left. Recently taken over by a new management. The food is terrible. They have new staff, that are unfriendly and have no people skills. They used to have good meat raffles there but now there's only half the amount of meat to win for the same amount of money. They have ruined this place and is running it into the ground which is a shame because this pub Rocked and had a great Vibe. I won't be back. Don't bother going here there are plenty of Awesome places in penrith to go to for a good feed and Staff that Have a Smile.

Great food and the steak is a great price! Nice to go there for a quick and reasonably priced lunch during the week.
