My first time going to skatel, thought I'd give it a shot with my partner. I hired blades and my partner hired skates, both pairs had a fowl smell to them, my partners skates were damaged and she had to swap them. Got onto the rink finally and then we were made to feel uncomfortable by a few elderly men on skates who kept comming up and skidding next to us and then one also approached my partner and kept talking to her. These men were either regulars or worked there. We left feeling like we did not enjoy ourselves at all. Overall I wouldn't recommend going there to anyone.
Lots of fun to be had here with the theme nights and experienced skates. We watch the website to find out when they're coming up. We had our daughters birthday party here too and she really enjoyed herself. The staff call the kids out to eat and the hot food is pretty stock-standard party heatable but there's plenty of them.
