Pepes Mexican Restaurant

Love heading here for a group gathering. Always a good time for a birthday as you get the mexican singers who sing happy birthday. Love the food & prices are pretty good too. Only downside is the space - they seriously need to open a bigger place considering how popular they are now.

Good food portions and nice staff and atmosphere. Good for those who haven't tried mexican restuarants before as very homely ambience.

We had a voucher for here.
There was just 2 of us.
We were greeted as if we had been there many times before.
Jose helped us with items we were not sure of and took our order without a notebook. This always impresses us when someone does this, and gets everything right. But we were about to be even more impressed. A large table of 10 came in. Jose again took their orders, without a notebook.
We loved our meals. The flavour was perfect. Everything about it was perfect. The only downside was that we were too full to even consider dessert (first world problems).
We intentionally stayed around, just to see the result of the other table's order. Their food was delivered. Jose didn't even ask who had which order, he remembered who ordered what. And nobody complained or swapped. PERFECTION!
We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Came here recently for lunch with 2 others. The dining area is mainly a covered courtyard with seating in and around an old house. The service was quick and friendly. We shared soft tacos, nachos and an enchilada. The soft tacos lacked flavour unfortunately and dripped watery liquid all over the plate, but the nachos and enchilada were pretty good. Personally, I thought it could have used some "freshness" on the plate e.g.: fresh coriander or chili etc to give it another level of flavour. It was fairly heavy food but we had gone on one of the hottest days in summer which probably didn't help.

Chicken Nachos with a side of guac never fail to send me home happy. The portions are big and ladened with fresh, mouthwatering salsa, cheese and whatever topping you could ever wish for. Pepe's has the greatest staff who welcome you into their homey and beautiful den. No matter what you order you're going to be impressed and thoroughly satisfied. The only hole I can poke in the fabulous service and amazingly tasty food is that the food is a little bit exxy but honestly it doesn't stop me from heading back time and time again. Takeway is also an option and the meal components are kept separate for you to assemble when you get home so that way you don't end up with a soggy mess instead you get your own in-house fiesta!
