Terrible customer service.
I have been here a few times recently to give this place a chance but will not go back now. The last couple of times we have waited over an hour for mains and they were only stirfrys. We were the hurried up to leave by the table being cleared and bill dropped on the table. After checking the bill we noticed discrepancies in the adding up. After talking to the management for over 10mins about it he wouldnt believe us and we had to pay the overcharged $20 just to leave. Definitely do not recommend.
Menu was not that of the typical chinese cuisine based asian restaurant and prices were reasonably competitive. Some unusual flavour combos promised some tasty dishes mostly based on a vietnamese cuisine with a few other dishes from other asian cultures. On our night, the food was at best average quality and there was a long wait for the food to be served. Sizzle dishes brought to table barely steaming let alone sizzling. Fried rice over-cooked and soggy as was some of the other dishes. Wine list small, average quality, but prices reasonable. Can BYO, but corkage is pricey. Hard furnishings meant a full restaurant was noisy and could not carry a conversation across our own table. Best described as average corner asian cafe and not a place for a special occasion dining experience. Plenty of potential for improvement if they can get the food and service right and put some sound dampening furnishings around the room.
Yum the food is great service is quick and the vietnamese salad and the black sticky rice the best around. Small relaxed atmosphere and of course in the entertainment book which is a bonus. Can just walk in most times and get a seat when I have gone anyway and of course takeway available too. Love this place.
