Peppercorn Cafe- Mulgoa

Food is generally pretty good but have been 3 times and the service really lets them down. It's all about customer service!

There seems to be a trend emerging of cafes reserving every table in the room and then when you walk in seating you in the worst place. Why the Peppercorn has started doing this at 8 am in the morning is beyond intelligence. The place was empty, I wanted to sit at a corner table with a little sun on it and spread out my newspapers to read as I was alone...no,no,no...I was to sit at the smallest table in the middle of the room like a goldfish in a bowl. The reserved tables are for (imaginary) larger groups, staff said condescendingly, and that was that; staff walked away knowing I didn't want to sit there. My option was to sit outside! I was so offended I got up and left. I imagine those "reserved tables" remained "reserved all day" To be frank the food isn't that good either, I'm a local I go there for very occasionally for breakfast when I don't want to cook at home, and they are not chefs or even cooks, from what I've seen they have teenagers cooking in the ...read more

Terrible! Will not recommend it or be back.

1. Staff don't know a thing about customer service

2. They took 30 minutes to take our order after we had to ask them

3. They took a hour and a half to bring out our food

4. The food was ridiculously boring! I had chicken saltimbocca and it was so bland and boring!

Would not recommend it to anyone!! Staff didn't care after 60 minutes of waiting that we had waited that long and then took another 30 minutes to bring our meals out all with 5 min at least between food deliveries!! There were 7 of us. The food we all ordered would have taken Max 25 min to prep and cook!

Wow! What more can I say! The Peppercorn is simply amazing! Great little restaurant with fantastic service. You cannot come to this place without ordering the Surf and Turf. At a reasonable price, it's the best meal I have had in a long time! Amazing steak topped with 4 Kilpatrick oysters and garlic prawns with chips and salad. This meal was HUGE and tasted delicious. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and will be coming back here for sure! Definitely a must visit! Fantastic! 5 stars
