Under new management, a great range of plants including potted colour, natives and plants for coastal conditions. Gift shop has indoor plants, pots, terrariums and bonsai. Garden clubs for adults and kids.

How disappointing! We are locals and shopped here for many years. Today we wanted to buy some indoor plants. We walked inside the shop and 2 staff members were busy working on a water fountain. We patiently waited for about 5 minutes right next to them without even being acknowledged. I then walked out. My husband waited a few minutes longer, but they kept ignoring him and he walked out too. As we are about to leave the garden center the female (apparently the business owner) ran after us with the most frustrated, unpleasant, bitter look on her look on her face saying "Can I help?" We were so shocked and said "Don't worry". She became even more agitated and said "What?" All we could manage to say is "It's your attitude" and she just stormed off. Businesses like that, which are so dependent on local repeated business wonder why they go broke. Excellent garden centre!



I spent a whole day going round garden centres - most had staff who didn't even look up let alone ask if you needed help, others had staff that were ignorant or unhelpful. SO thank goodness for Paul from Peregian who spent nearly an hour helping me choose the perfect plant, helped me get it home and gave me lots of instructions on how to look after it. Its this kind of service that will have me going back.
