I called late one Thursday afternoon, when everyone else was closing, with a sick cat. The reception staff were excellent! They knew who we were when we walked in and were seen within about five minutes. The vet was very friendly and helpful. They explained everything, gave us options and costings in advance. Our cat spent the night and we got updates on his progress too. Would highly recommend in the unfortunate event you need to visit a vet.
My elderley mum phoned this vet thinking that the time had come to say goodbye to her little dog. The vet spoke to her over the phone and guided her with a couple of solutions that should get her through the weekend so that she could go to her regular vet. Mum said that the man was so very friendly and compassionate. He gave prices for every possible outcome which really helped. He eased mum's stress so much. Thankyou.
Can't say enough about these guys - took my little Sasha in late one night when she was choking after swallowing a whole chicken neck. Dr Denise saw us immediately and talked us through all the possible problems. She was very professional and caring and even took an xray to make sure Sasha's throat was clear. I found the cost for her visit to be better than other emergency clinics in the area and I highly recommend this clinic to everyone.
I've used a range of services at this clinic over the past 8 years, including the Pet Emergency Room for out of hours service, both for the pets that I own personally, but also through my workplace Guide Dogs Queensland, where I manage a large colony of dogs and their health care. Because we have dogs ranging from newborn to approx 15 years of age the support we need covers a wide range of issues, including reproductive issues such as ultrasounds and C-sections etc in the small hours of the morning, or dogs that become acutely unwell for whatever reason. I cannot speak highly enough of the attention and support we receive from the Pet Emergency Room, it's staff and it's management. To the degree where many staff in the practice remember the names of our dogs and their history (without referring to notes:) Our dogs, in the main, are comfortable going there, and are receptive to the positive staff approach. The staff liaise thoroughly with our staff and we ...read more
I had to take my cat to the Pet Emergency Room after he became very sick late at night, vomiting and urinating large amount. They gave excellent emergency care, kept me well informed while investigations and test were done. These took some time and I had to wait in the waiting room as he was not at all happy having blood tests and needed to be sedated. When the results care back I was given a range of treatment options with associated costs. There were a couple of delays due to other emergencies and the nurses explained what was happening. The outcome was I got an accurate diagnosis of kidney failure, my cat got treated there for three weeks and survived. I have been so happy with the care and communication I continue to use them as my regular vet practice. If you want good quality care and treatment this is the place to go.
