I needed someone do do our lawns urgently before Christmas as I'd done my back in. They initially quoted us $55 over the phone for our small sized lawn, however when they arrived at our place on Christmas eve, they told us that due to the fact that our lawn hadn't been mowed in 3 weeks, the work involved would be $70 worth!! My Wife pleaded with them to do the work for $60 trying to appeal to their Christmas spirit, however they refused, saying that we could pay $70 or they would finish early and we could try our luck trying to find someone else on Christmas eve! We reluctantly gave them $70, and they finished in less than 1/2 an hour!! $70 worth of work???? You're kidding!! If it was just a case of me having no time and not being medically unfit to mow my lawn, I would have told them where they could stick their $70! Avoid like the plague! They will overcharge you! Especially if they know that they have you in a bind!
Only an estimate is given over the phone. The quote is given on site before work starts. You are always free to get another quote from someone else. Two experienced people with top quality equipment do the work - so 1/2 hour of our time equals 1.25 hours of your time. The charge for a one off service on a lawn not mowed for a month particularly Christmas Eve after we have mowed over 160 of our regular customer's lawns during that week is very reasonable!.
Peter & his crew were EXCELLENT!!! We were in a bind, needing a super urgent job done on our lawn. After contacting Peter he called me back within 5minutes of me leaving him a message. Peter quoted me a rough estimate, within a few hours he called me back and did our lawn the same day! His estimate was spot on & a great rate. We will also be regulars. Thanks Guys :)
