My very expensive engagement ring was deemed to be faulty by another jeweler due to two cracks that appeared in the band. I had not mistreated my ring in any way. The cracks were due to brittle gold resulting from the faulty workmanship. They denied there was anything wrong with it and refused to do anything about it other than to cut the defective gold from the ring leaving it FAR too small for me to even be able to wear it. They even suggested the jeweler that I had obtained advice from was not as reputable. HA!!!! I no longer want to wear the ring because of the ill feeling I feel towards something that should remind me of happy times. The ring is 6 years old.
