A long time has passed by since I posted my first review of this business. I remain to be a satisfied customer of the high standards that are self evident at Petrie Mechanical. My vehicle is still the same 1997 Prado that was first seen by Brad. Its longevity in kms, now over 300,000 and purring along is testimony to the fine work done here. Believe me when I say that having a long background in aviation engineering would have had me moving on if I thought that something was amiss with the standard of maintenance. As the adage goes - "when you are on a good thing - stick with it!" That's advice I will be taking and sticking to.
I've been here a couple of times now. Both times when I rang they had notrouble fitting me in. On the days I arrived, They were getting all stressed because the staff had booked too many people in at the same time. They made me feel like it was my fault for turning up, both times! Not very good customer service in my view. Would I use them again? Maybe if I was pushed.

Went for a roadworthy, which failed, and was given quotes for work to be carried out which came to $2100 for replacement of seals and front wheel ball joint. Quote for parts from Toyota $87! You can't tell me that that was fair quoting of work that would only take 5 hours max!
Will not be getting my car fixed there, unless you like to be overcharged.
