In June 2018 we purchased a puppy from Petsland. It was advertised as a maltese x shitzu. We signed a health agreement. At the time they explained thoroughly to us that they could not guarantee whether she was more maltese or shitzu, we were not concerned. However as the puppy grew it became obvious that she had pomeranian/chihuahua traits. A trainer at dog obedience confirmed our suspicion. A vet also agreed. We returned to Petsland to voice our concerns as we thought that maybe the owner Donna had been duped by the breeder. Her solution was to offer us a full refund when we returned the dog. She knew that this was a false offer, as who would return a dog that they had bonded with. She pointed to the health guarantee which virtually gives them the right to sell any dog without being able to confirm its history or parentage.
