Hired to build a simple 15m pine fence. This was to keep our 18 month old safe.
After the first attempt we had the following issues 1) A split rail they had tried to nail back together 2) At least 50 exposed nail heads. 3) Uneven paling spacing (and almost none met the spec of 1cm apart) 4) Uneven alignment along the base of the palings 5) A gap in the fence with an existing retaining wall large enough for a person or animal to get through (or a toddler to escape through) 6) Half the palings on one side and half on the other side of the fence 7) Some exposed nails (the sharp end). 8) Large numbers of palings not ...read more
Very unimpressed with this outfit.
Our neighbours contracted them to replace their boundary fence. In the process, they cut through our phone line when digging post holes. These things happen - it's an underground cable. But you'd think if you cut through someone's phone line, you'd have the common courtesy to let them know, apologise, and make an effort to fix the problem (e.g. by reporting the damage to Telstra). Nope. They didn't come by to inform me, they didn't inform Telstra, and they made no attempt to apologise or to fix the problem in any way. We were contracted to replace the boundary fence and it is clearly stated on our quote signed by our client that it is the owner?s responsibility to indicate the position of any underground services and boundary pegs. No repairs or remedial work will be carried out on any damaged services or incorrectly aligned construction. Without this information having clearly been provided prior to the commencement of works, your neighbour is who you should have lodged a complaint with. You were home at the time and approached us with the problem while we were still digging the holes and new of the situation directly We notified our client at earliest possible time to inform relevant parties. We have no control over Telstras work agenda or time frame. As you can see we have still haven't finish the fence and were planning a final clean up at the end of works but will ensure your side is clean at all times.
