Phillip Island Chocolate Factory

Chocolate very ordinary . Food bellow average. Plastic cutlery. Uncaring and unhelpful staff. Overpriced. Place For tourists. Would not recommend it.

There's something slightly magical about this place and it did sort of remind me of the movie. It's actually quite interesting and filled with fascinating historical material. Not all the chocolate is to my taste and there are certainly some unusual combinations.

I originally only popped in to buy some chocolate but once inside I seen the pictures from the chocolate tour and thought 'why not.....'

If you go to this place you must take the chocolate tour, it is fantastic. There is interesting information about chocolate and the history of the place, fun games where you can win chocolates, watch the staff make chocolates and my favourite part.... a room where you can take photos of you and whoever you are with sitting on giant chocolate and then send the picture to your email account. Overall a great experience

Bit overpriced, but once you get in there and have a look through all the chocolate rooms and machines, you forget all about that! :). The cafe there however was very dissapointing, considering I didn't recieve my iced chocolate till 20 minutes later, and asked 3 different staffs about a simple bowl of chips, which none of them seemed to know anything about. A bit disspointing considering the tour of chocolate rooms was so wonderful! The souvenir shop however has such a nice variety of things to buy, and nice for gifts and families. Definatley recommended and in such a lovely place upon the island.

Willy Wonka clearly visited the Phillip Island Chocolate Factory before he created his world of Wonka. Sadly, not an Oompa Lumpa in sight but clearly a magical world none the less.
