well done, didn't expect they can recovery my hard drive, it's indeed very expensive but i believe it worth the money.

They reinstalled my windows just for 2 hours! Really fast and amazing service.

Had a good experience with Phil\'s Computer until the very end. I brought in a broken hard drive to see if it could be fixed. The $99 service fee wasn\'t an issue. I knew I would be paying for it whether or not the hard drive could be fixed. After slow emails back and forth before and after the summer holidays (fair enough), the verdict was in: my hard drive would need to be sent to a data recovery centre; it couldn\'t be fixed in store. Not the news I wanted to hear, but so it goes. Since I didn\'t want to spend $1000+ to fix the drive, I opted to pick it up, pay the $99 service fee, and re-assess my options. When I went to pick up the hard drive I asked the clerk\/technician if they would explain the procedure they used to try to fix my hard drive. I wanted to learn what didn\'t work so if and when I took the drive somewhere else I could ensure I wouldn\'t pay for the same failed procedure twice. Very calm atmosphere, Phil and Henry really know their stuff. I dropped my boyfriends Laptop into them 3 days ago, they do have a fee of 99 dollars for laptops if you want them to diagnose the problem, if you want them to fix it then its only half price for the diagnosis. I was told they take up to three days to diagnose the problem, I got a phone call from Henry on day 3 and he told me the problem and gave me the quote for the job and he had it fixed in 2 hours!

I just took in my four year old Toshiba laptop, after finding Phil's on this site. They charge a quotation fee (but only half if you go ahead with the work). Took a week to diagnose the problem, and after promising a week or so to make the repair, ended up taking more like two and a half weeks to finish the work. I got a bit frustrated and called them a couple of times. BUT when I did get the machine back, I was blown away. It is literally as good as new, for the price of the part and minimal labour costs. Not only did they replace the motherboard, they cleaned the laptop inside and out, and somehow fixed an annoying dead pixel issue! They actually know what they are doing, and charge a fair price for parts and labour, with a short warranty. I would definitely use them again, although I'd make sure I could be more relaxed about the timeframe.
