The Tin Shed is the perfect place for musicals that don't always need to be produced on a large scale. Phoenix Ensemble deliver a stripped down version of a variety of musicals that successfully exposes the subtle nuances of the shows that can be missed in a large prosceniumed theatre.

The theatre is clean and tidy and although the amenities are a little basic, it is a perfect place to bring kids to for child-friendly shows ('Annie' or 'Little Mermaid' or to just get away from life and watch a comedy like 'La Cage Aux Folles' or 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels'.

A small but intimate theatre in Beenleigh. Not without its flaws, but the productions are youthful and vibrant and continually create edgy theatre.

The company uses a small shed inside a Gold Coast showground in the suburb of Beenleigh. Despite the most basic of facilities, year after year it produces extremely ambitious musicals and youth shows.- STAGE WHISPERS, (December 2009)
