Designer Amanda Gilham has a desire for everyone to stand out, no matter how big, small, relaxed or formal the occasion and she provides no excuses with her designer label Phyllis & Mimosa.

With a colourful 20 year journey in the Australian fashion industry designing successful brands Endless Spirit, Earth Angel, Grab and more, Amanda launched Phyllis & Mimosa in 2008 with all the creative motivation any successful designer needs by designing the range around what she would wear on a daily basis.

The Phyllis & Mimosa Design Studio was established in 2009 with a team of extremely talented like minded individuals attracted to the allure of the Byron lifestyle and the natural inspiration it provides to be creative. Since then, Phyllis & Mimosa has enjoyed a successful wholesale client base in boutiques throughout Australia and overseas including Myer and David Jones department stores.

In 2010 the first Phyllis & Mimosa lifestyle store opened in Byron Bay showcasing the full range of exclusive printed maxi dresses and designer silk kaftans which have become the signature of each new collection. European quality denim, custom jewellery pieces and shoes, as well as basics with a twist complete the lifestyle offer.

A desire to create a unique Phyllis & Mimosa shopping experience that is in tune with the ethos of the brand has seen Phyllis & Mimosa establish lifestyle concept stores in Byron Bay, Townsville, Newcastle and Coffs Harbour.

With an ardent belief that the best design is only as good as the quality of the fabric it's made from, Amanda's obsession with quality silk ensures continuous travel throughout the Orient beating a direct path to world-class fabric mills, while seeking out the next exiting print design.
