By far, one of the BEST Pie Face restaurants I have ever been to. Not because the pies were anymore la-di-da than those anywhere else. But because the service, was unreal. I could not get over how genuinely lovely the older gentleman working there was. I can't say that his younger colleague was as nice - a little more abrupt perhaps - but I would definitely recommend this store, purely for this reason. The seated areas are always a bonus if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Make sure you face the laneway for excellent people-watching opportunities!
I've never thought a pie shop could be so enjoyable! I managed to try their tuna salad wrap (which I found very fresh and delicious despite the lack of Masterchef-like presentation) and a single serve of hot chocolate (with generous amount of froth!) to combat chilly Melbourne morning.
The cafe overlooks a 'classic' Melbourne intersection view and daily papers for your enjoyment whilst soaking up all the comfortable atmosphere.
No fancy couch to slouch on, only a few tables for two, so overcrowding is very unlikely!
And did I say it opens 24 hours?
