Piedimonte's SUPA IGA North Fitzroy

I picked up a bag of pita bread in Piedimonte, shelf price was $2.45c. Get to the cashier and it comes rounded up at $2.50c. I told the cashier about the discrepancy, so she did a price check. When she came back she said it scanned at the right price.

So sure I didn’t make a mistake, I went back with an employee there, and he pointed out to a price tag about half way along the shelf, showing $2.49c. Then I pointed out the bread from the corner of the shelf, and showed him the price tag of $2.45c.

He said no, that is an old one. And before I could get my phone out to take a picture of it, he quickly removed the tag, screwed it up and put it in his pocket. So now it’s my word against there’s.

So to sum up, the shelf price on display at Piedimonte Nth.Fitzroy is not what you pay at the checkout.
