My daughter was unfortunate enough to end up at Pindara's emergency department twice this week. Thumbs up for Dr. George Bilios, who made me feel absolutely calm about my toddler's wellbeing, was bold and confident in his diagnosis and absolutely did the right thing every step of the way. I would have therefore rated the performance of the emergency department as 5/5, if not for the conduct of the junior staff, nurses and the food the hospital has to offer to those unwell and under their care. I couldn't agree more with the previous comment - every second of our stay the nurses made us feel as if we were a burden. Not impressed at all. The staff spoke to my mother like she was an idiot. My mother felt as tho she couldn't ask for help as they made her feel like it was a a burden. She almost wet the bed because no one was able to help her out of bed after abdominal surgery . They didn't even wash/ sponge bath her everyday . Disgusting!
We were down on holiday from Cairns and had an unscheduled need for a hospital and A&E department . Pindara was recommended and wow what an amazing hospital and the nurses and doctors were notihng but incredible. Especially doctor Martin who understood s difficult patient with ADHD and was accommodating to someone climbing the walls but also needing treatment. Well done and thank you
I had the pleasure of having my son at Pindara and I was impressed with the overall level of care given, especially in the children's intensive care. The recent refurbishments to the maternity wing make it much more comfortable to stay, and partners are well accounted for when it comes to staying over and meals. The parking is less than desirable and could do with an upgrade.
