I am very happy with the support and compassion my family gets every day at Pine. My children are both sensitve souls and need to feel understood and connected. The school has always been very understanding of their needs and mine and very quick to let me know when they have had good days and bad. I know I can talk to the adminisator and the teachers and be involved in all aspects of their education. The wider school community tries very hard to connect with all families and there are strong networks.
I happily send my child to Pine because of the emotional support she receives compared to that of other schools. I have not only witnessed teachers acting as mediators to help teach children how to sort out disagreements in a calm and empathetic manner, but also watched them be patient, understanding and spend a lot of time with children who struggle with concepts such as sharing and taking turns. I have always felt heard by the principal with any of my concerns, and when my daughter was faced with what could have been an embarrassing accident, it was handled so well that she came unaffected and telling me how the principal made her feel very cared about. I know I would not leave my child in a school where I thought they were in any physical or psychological danger.
