On our return to Melbourne after spending a weekend in Phillip Island, we thought why not try the local fish and chips in town. The place looked great, there were quite a number of people at the shop already and the prices looked ok. They offered a few seats inside and a number of seats outside with large umbrella cover. I ordered a steak sandwich and a Hawaiian burger with chips. They were huge, however messy to eat and disappointed to say that they were quite average. They looked good in presentation wise, unfortunately I cant say on this occasion they were the best burger Ive eaten. The meat tasted liked any frozen meat just taken out. It was missing sauce, salt & pepper. Chips were probably the only ok things out of the lot. At the end of the day if youre on this side of town or here for a weekend, there are a number of other fish & chips along the strands which we only discovered later & in walking past and seeing what people were eating they just looked so ...read more
