Not a big fan of this place, but they werent bad. The place itself is pretty hip, service was alright, but not consistent between waiters (one waited attended to us well and quickly, but another i had to ask a few times for extra olive oil as the first two times I asked it never arrived). It was very loud though when we came in on a Friday night (and yes its best to book because it was busy). The pizza base/crust were very good and tasty but the toppings werent that generous, found the pizzas we ordered quite salty too. I love my pork belly dishes but unfortunately the Pork dish (main) I had ordered was quite disappointing. Unsure if I would go back on my account anytime soon, but maybe one day.
Booked for lunch (essential - especially for a Friday). Service was exceptional right from the start. The staff were helpful with menu questions. The tuna carpaccio with mozzarella was good, but the carpaccio was a bit thin for me - it was completely see through which meant that we could taste the dressing but the tuna taste was lacking. The mozzarella was good. The pizza was delicious. The pork was moreish as was the sausage. The tomato base had great taste.Not sure whether I'm particularly sensitive or they need stronger extraction fans but towards the end my eyes were a bit sore, maybe from the smoke and unfortunately I returned to work smelling like a wood fire. I will definitely return for dinner.
