By far the best pizza I've eaten in Sydney, we arrived early as I know it gets busy here, and were greeted by a lovely french waitress. The setting is rather warm, and a little romantic so its a good place to take a date.
We had a Margarita pizza with Ham, and it was cooked to perfection :). There's so much hype about this place and I know why.
The Italian imported red wine was delicious, the salad fresh and yummy, and the service was quick, attentive and the bill was super cheap!
Told you it was awesome. Agree that Pizza Mario are deserving of the best pizza in Sydney accolade.
I've heard great things about the pizza and bad things about the wait to get a table. The restaurant was still fairly busy, but we came here close to 9 on a Wednesday night so there was no wait.
We came in a group of 7 and ordered a couple of calamaris, a salad, 4 pizzas, a couple of bottles of wine and an affogato each.
Sure, I was really hungry and would probably have eaten anything, but these were the best pizzas I have eaten. The food is simple, no-fuss and just really really good. I love that the pizzas weren't loaded with every imaginable topping.
The restaurant decor does lack a bit of personality, but with good company and good food, it's hardly a cause for complaint!
Its been two years since tyring Pizza Mario so thought it was time to revisit. Last time I was in so much shock when I found I couldn't get a Hawian Pizza that I had trouble concentrating of whether the place was good or not. This time around I knew what I was in for - traditional Italian pizza made under the principals of the Italian Pizza Association. It was a Monday night and the place was buzzing and the boys on the floor.... we'll they are so buffed, cute and attentive its hard to concentrate.... but back to the pizza. Nice and light, crispy, just the right amount of filling and a bottle of pinot gris to wash it down with. A great way to spend a Monday night when it was my turn to cook. We're now a convert....... and if you like Italian eye candy too then your in for a treat.
