We ordered two pizzas, one gluten free, home delivered. They said half an hour but took 45 minutes. That I can live with. But $29 for a prawn pizza with overcooked prawns with no taste apart from sour tomatoes plus a very average meat pizza -- never again. The salad was average too, with extra large chunks of veggies that had little taste or colour. Weird. From the most expensive pizza I've ever had, it was near the worst. I expected something a bit special for the price and was really disappointed.
I eat at Moncur often, I like the service and the food. But tonight was the last time. My family and I waited for sometime for our table, understandable as the place is cozy in size. But as our table was being cleared a couple and their child walked straight in and sat down. I thought they must have been next in line but NO it was the management who jumped in front of us. So after asking the wait staff who was very embarrassed "were we not next?" they said well thats the management so we couldn't say anything. Okay I said thank you, thats how you lose a customer for good.
Takeaway pizza last night from Pizza Moncur, ordered through menulog. Impressive anchovy pizza that had a great base, fresh toppings and super tasty.
