Enjoy a family day out at Platform 1 Heritage Farm Railway at Littehampton just 10 minutes from Hahndorf.
Take the train ride through the historic farmyard and out into the open paddock. Hear the yarns of yesteryear from 6th generation Liebelt.
Play on the hands-on railway displays. Make the signals go up and down, be an engine driver or a fireman.
Meet and feed the farm animals. Say Hi to Captain the Clydesdale horse, Miss Moo and the sheep and cute guinea pigs.
Dress Henry and Henrietta the scarecrows, play throw the horseshoes or put the ball in the milk can.
Sit back and enjoy a coffee with yummy scones or homemade muffins in the century old barn by the wood fire.
Platform 1 is also a great location for children's train parties. These parties are fully hosted and catered. Enjoy 2 train rides, a treasure hunt and everything provided to make a great and memorable day for your child.
Not only is this attraction a delight for children but very historic and is of great interest to adults and seniors. Home to the Littlehampton Guided HIstory Tour, Platform 1 has 3 different tours to suit your groups individual needs. A morning/afternoon tour, all day history tour or the Platform 1 Light & Sound Show held during the summer months.
Open 6 days a week (closed Wednesdays) at 10am the train departs hourly from 11am to 4pm. Closed for the month of August.
