Polished Beauty is my regular salon for nails, waxing, and facials and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. All the girls are friendly, professional, and incredibly good at what they do. The salon is always clean and beautifully presented and the staff know how to add a personal touch to every service. The best salon in Adelaide!
I had a Gel Polish Manicure done at Polished Beauty. Within four (!) days my polish started to chip and in under a week my polish had suffered significant chipping. Somehow the colour also changed from a pastel lavender purple to an extremely pale blue, also within four days. Polished Beauty claims that the gel polish will last up to 21 days - chipping within four days is appalling. The service cost $49 (more than many other salons in Adelaide) which is an absolute rip off considering the quality. Polished Beauty also charges $15 for the removal of gel polish whereas other salons will remove your polish free of charge if you have it reapplied. To the manager of Polished Beauty, your staff are lovely but your Gel Polish Manicure is of appalling quality.

We totally agree that gel polish should last longer than 4 days. We have a 7-day no-questions-asked guarantee on all our Gel Polish services. If you had contacted us we would have happily fitted you in any time to correct the problem or reapply the Gel Polish. As for the quality of our gel polish we use, Artistic Colour Gloss is a premium product and famous worldwide.

If you do in fact have a guarantee on your gel polish services your business would benefit from making your customers aware of the guarantee at the end of their appointment, rather than when it is too late for anything to be done. You cannot expect customers to call you to arrange a time for the problem to be corrected when they have no idea that you have a guarantee on your gel polish services. Take note that just because you have not been notified of problems does not mean that they are rare. I would rather go to a salon that will reward their returning customers with complimentary removal of their gel polish if they have it reapplied, instead of a salon that counts the cost of a five minute removal service. I have no interest in having the service redone as I would prefer a 'premium' polish that lasts longer than four days. Your business cannot provide that.
