The proprietors of POPPIES need to take a course in the basics of customer service. From holding onto for 5 months, our credit card (as hospitalisation meant us having to delay our trip), to them remarking Lets just get this over with when trying to arrange a secondary date to visit, to denying a 10 year old use of a lavatory (claiming sanitation reasons), to wanting to charge us $50 if we wanted to drop off our bags en-route to a restaurant we had booked we have never in decades of global travel had such a rotten, unwelcoming and downright intimidating reception from an establishment as with POPPIES. . ...read more
Great place to stay for a few quiet days. Walked to Ewan Maddock Dam Had a big cooked breakfast in our room Loved the home made biscuits , muffins & jam. Modern and very clean & tidy with lots of books etc Beautiful grounds and very close to everywhere. Good easy access back to Brisbane
