Port Phillip Estate
Just over an hour from Melbourne, Port Phillip Estate on the Mornington Peninsula is a wine and gourmet experience set on a 20 hectare property with vineyard and wonderful views of Westernport Bay and islands. You can taste a wide variety of wines and vintages in the spectacular new cellar door, which has become an architectural landmark in the area. The modernist limestone and glass structure also houses the spacious dining room which serves up a contemporary, regional and seasonal menu by local chef, Simon West.

We took mum and dad out for lunch and ate at the bistro (unfortunately the dining room was booked, as usual). Dad enjoyed some wine tasting while mum and I had a tongue wag. The menu is great for sharing plates so we practically ordered everything on the menu. The views from our table overlooked the vineyards and being high up on the hill, the views are spectacular. The service was first class and we were very well attended to. Cant wait to try the dining room next time
