Portobello

A restaurant on the esplanade selling breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were super hungry after our flight and went here for dinner. We all ordered a protein dish - lamb shanks, barramundi and chicken. All meals were perfectly cooked, amazing taste and came out very quickly. Quite expensive, but it is a holiday town.

Terrible takeaway. $40 for a pasta dish and a pizza that were both pretty ordinary. Pasta was not cooked properly, meatballs were bland and the signature dish pizza was a shocker. Staff said it would be 15 mins and it took nearly 40 - no problem with 40 if it had been worthwhile, but it really wasn't. There are some great eateries along the Palm Cove strip, go to this one if you have run out of peanuts in your appartment or you want a reminder that your own cooking is really awesome.

I recently had a night with my lovely fiancee, without our 11 year old son for the first time in a year. We wer all set to have a nice romantic night out. We decided to go to Portobello's at Palm cove as we had heard good things about it.
