Love the Powerhouse Museum. They put on some fantastic exhibitions (Harry Potter, Wallace and Gromit, Lego DC Comics come to mind) as well as having fantastic permanent displays. Can easily spend a whole day there and entry is free for kids. Get a membership for unlimited visits at a great value price.
Just got back from the Powerhouse Museum, it's been around for a while, but I went for a temporary exhibition, the Colette Dinnigan one, called "Unlaced". Beaut displays and everything so informative and so nicely laid out, and nice that they accept student discount card, for my daughter. Parking on Harris street if you're lucky, if not, there are some parking stations near by.
Great for locals or international visitors. It is a must-see place in Sydney in the fun Ultimo part of town.
Every Sydneysider has visited this muesem because it is one of the best. The special exhibitions that they chose to hold are some of the most fun, I've been to a Harry Potter one and Lego too! The normal exhibits that are here all year round are also very interesting and very kid friendly. Staff members here are very helpful over the phone and also in person
