Purchased a professional vaccum from bunnings and after a few hours of use over a period of 4 months it blew up on the job. I rang karcher to see what to do about warranty and what's the fastest option to get it looked at, they directed me to powervac where I dropped it off.
After me having to ring them they tell me that they have looked at it and to what they can "assume" it had water in the motor and the filter was slightly damp. I argued with him that it has never been used with water even though it is a professional WET and dry vaccum. I explained that I gave it a clean out because of how dusty it was and wiped it clean and washed the filter and dried it AFTER it stopped working to see if that was the issue as I was in a middle of a job and ...read more
Overpriced. I took my upright Dyson. They charged me $55 to tell me it was dirty and needed an Australian plug to be put on it rather than an adapter (I bought this in Argos in Britain). Oh yes and one bit of extra information - If I wanted it repaired it would cost something like $445. What a rip off! Gavin the owner told me this was a family run business but I think he is out of touch with reality.
