I recently visited the Press Club for a friends joint birthday party. On arrival the security guard was extremely pleasant and welcoming. However, I can't say the same for one of the bar staff. I went to the bar and waited almost 20 minutes for my regular tequila shot and scotch and dry chaser. I do not mind waiting when its busy, however when the bar staff blatantly ignore you, its just down right rude. I eventually had to wave my $50 bill at the bar staff to get their attention. I gave the staff my order, as started pouring my scotch and dry (chivas regal obviously being their house scotch) and paying $12 for it every time, the staff appeared to be pouring half shots. I do not mind paying for a decent scotch, but paying full price for a half shot is absolutely ridiculous. I actually asked the other guests at the party to watch the bar staff as they poured their drinks, and low and behold the bar staff followed suit with half nips in their drinks. Good everynight, always something different and always hosts a range of different parties and functions, good range of drinks for the night, with plenty of different music types. Bar staff on my service were great, busy as trying to keep up with the crowd but did their best for individual service.

This bar has my pick for second most aesthetic decor in Brisbane nightlife after Family, just around the corner. Nice place to kick back with a drink and listen to great music. Fantastic live music here or DJS play chilled out house type music on Fridays/Saturdays. Can bust a move here also though most people just prefer to sit around. Drinks are very expensive though they make amazing cocktails. Service a little bit pretentious at times just like the place in itself really and a lot of the crowd! But where in the Valley isn't these days? Otherwise great!
