Janene is a Primary School teacher with 13 years experience who currently teaches Grade 1 - 3 but has taught all age groups in Primary. She recognises the huge demand for English and Mathematics tutoring but is able to tutor across all the Key Learning Areas.

She is also Montessori trained and believes that individualising programs for students so that they are engaged in the learning will help them to grasp concepts, retain them and develop a deep understanding.

Each child is unique with different learning styles and she aims to work with each student at their level. She likes to find out what works for each student and then tailor the learning to them.

Janene also use concrete materials to demonstrate concepts and students who are visual and tactile learners gain a lot from this.

Her knowledge of the NSW and Australian Curriculum and its requirements for each stage is excellent. She has been involved in writing programs for accreditation purposes and has many years experience preparing students for tests such as NAPLAN.

Janene works closely with parents to ensure that she is meeting the needs of their child and will regularly evaluate the tuition process with parents.

Janene believes that every child has strengths and wants not only to work on areas which need improvement, but encourage students to recognise their strengths. She wants students to have a strong sense of self-esteem and to feel confidant and believes that this lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Casual or regular sessions after school and Saturday mornings where available.
