Achieving great things with little people ... EDUCATION THROUGH CAREThe centre boasts a new Emergent Curriculum which focuses on learning through natural curiosity, doing and self-directing, not through sitting before a teacher who imparts knowledge. Our educators facilitate learning and extend as much as possible right there and then as the child's discovery unfolds. As a result, children will develop a love for learning which will help them succeed in their future education. Their delight and spontaneous wonder should always be the first priority.
We are open between the hours of 6am and 6pm, 52 weeks of the year, located in the grounds of The Prince Charles Hospital, off Hamilton Rd Chermside. We are a convenient distance from major shopping centres as well as being right next to The Prince Charles Hospital. The centre boasts a private car park with secure swipe card entry to the building. All rooms are fully air conditioned with large open indoor and outdoor play areas designed to inspire and enhance your child?s imagination. The Prince Charles Hospital Early Education Centre is also Open to the Public!
Just through the large foyer windows you may notice our own little piece of paradise. We have a beautifully landscaped garden area which offers a tranquil retreat for staff and children. This is watered by our two huge water tanks located under the playgrounds.
We cater for children from birth to School age and the centre has a bus which can be used to collect school children from selected schools in the area. The centre also offers Before and After School Programmes as well as Vacation Care.
We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab. From this belief came the inspiration to open our own production kitchen, the Healthy Cooking Company which provides morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea throughout our Child Care centres. We aim to create and promote natural and wholesome food with a number of health ...read more
Very disappointed in this centre. I was first of all charged twice (a deposit they make you pay - no refundable) and second of all the careers did not offer any advice as to how to wean your child into care. My baby who was 10 months at the time would cry and cry and I would feel so upset having to sit in the room and listen to him feeling helpless. He even spewed from crying so much. Also when I handed in my 2 weeks notice to leave the centre only to find out that they decided to take my credit of $85 left on my childs account. They advised me a month later when they decided to return my calls that I did not provide a 2 weeks written notice. Be careful of this centre as they do NOT care at all about service and CARE. My son now attends a family day care and it took 2 days to wean him into care.

I've had two children at this daycare for a total of four years so far and they thoroughly enjoy it! The staff turnover is quite low these days compared to other daycare centres and the staff there are very flexible with changing schedules. The food that is now provided to the children is top quality and caters for little peoples requirements and also encourages them to try new things. I would strongly recommend this daycare centre to anyone in the surrounding suburbs. There are lots of fun and exciting events for the children all year round and the highlight of the year is the Christmas Party.
sorry to say but i am very disappointed with this daycare. It is the most expensive daycare in the area but I still chose it coz i thought there must be something special about it but things were completely different from what i was expecting. The staff seems careless with lack of proper communication, no one cares if some one is crying or wants something. It is very disappointing and sad to see your child being treated in this way. I would not recommend it to any one, never.
i would have to agree, a friend's son watching a DVD on a beautiful sunny day (because a child brought it in we have to watch it) couple of staff very rude, you cant question anything.
i was a current staff member there and also had a child in the centre and had to leave due to personal reasons but i found the company and this centre great to work for. they provided the children with the best quality care and had great programmes. it was sad to leave this company.
