The thing that stood out for me in this pub was the cage that the DJ stands behind, but at least it wasn't chicken mesh because then I would probably be a little concerned coming here when there is a band playing. Anyway, its not a bad place, and certainly suits the hip crowds that come down to St Kilda on a hot day, and the outdoor area in front of the street is actually really cool for people watching, especially since it is fenced off meaning that people aren't walking through you. Okay, the beers are not that cheap, but the atmosphere of this place certainly make up for that, especially how you can order your drinks through the window. This is certainly a place that I would be stepping into if I were walking past it again.
Understaffing during gigs makes it a really unpleasant place to see a band. The amount of really drunk people that they continue serving alcohol to is unacceptable. Last night there were people vomiting on the floor and nothing was done about it. I was constantly harassed by drunk men the entire evening and it made my experience very unpleasant. I did not feel safe in this venue and will not go back there.
