Prince Of Wales Hotel

Well, this is one of those old fashioned suburban pubs with their bistro, sports bar, and pokies room. It also has regular live bands. While the rest of Nundah seems to be transforming into one of those modern middle class places complete with cafes, this place seems to have retained it's traditional identity. You still get the tradies crowding the sports bar cheering on their horses, and once the races finish, the bands come out to belt out a few tunes. Okay, it's probably not the type of place that I would spend too much time, unless of course I was living here, but for those who like their pubs being traditional, serving traditional beers, and where blokes can be blokes, then this is probably already your second home.

Excellent food, and some great live entertainment on a Friday night. Extremely friendly staff and easy to get too.

Great local, bar staff are champs and decent tab. Good place to watch the horses on a lazy Saturday in Nundah

Wow, I am actually shocked that I am reviewing this place with high reviews, I've always gone their and thought of it as a bit of a downer place - because I'd just go there and sink my hard earned money into the pokies and wave goodbye and leave feeling in the dumps.
