Prompt Plumbing And Electrical

I had loads of water suddenly leaking from a reticulation pipe on a Sunday afternoon. I called Prompt Plumbing and was told they could send a plumber out to take a look in the next couple of hours. That was it - no quote, nothing. I figured the plumber would look at it when he arrived and give me a quote then. The plumber arrived and took a quick look at the pipe and told me what he would need to do. He asked me if I'd been given a quote and I said no. He then said it would cost $360 to replace the pipe. I said I would have to think about it and maybe ask the landscapers who had installed the reticulation just over 12 months ago if they could take a look at it. I apologised for wasting his time. That's when he told me there was a $180 call out fee! I was very surprised and he asked if I'd been told about the call out fee when I booked. No, I had not!
