Have had a ECU Tune done by this workshop which resulted in a catstrophic failure with overboosting causing the 4th cylinder to crack, resulting in an engine rebuild on a 2 year old Subaru Levorg. Was told from the start, prior to buying the vehicle, that it was still under factory warranty, guaranteed. Once the issue happened, of course no factory warranty as the 'tune' has voided what factory warranty I had left on the vehicle (over 12 months). The workshop has washed its hands of it and I was left with a very expensive engine rebuild. I have since been told by the owner of the company that my 2017 Levorg engine is known to be weak and have problems which begs the question ' Why have a business tuning the vehicles if you know the engine cannot handle it'? Avoid at all costs, with any vehicle that you care for, unless you want to rebuild it!!
You were not a customer of ours, you purchased the vehicle off some one who had it tuned previous to you owning it. They were fully aware of the issues that the Levorg is known to have. It is unfortunate that your engine blew up, however you were not our customer, nor did we service or see the vehicle. The boost is never increased on your model, just the fuel changed. Overboost conditions are from mechanical failures.
