Occupational Therapists (OT's) aim to enhance the functional participation of children in everyday activities and are an integral part of the assessment and treatment of learning difficulties and other psychological conditions. OT's can assist children who have difficulties with:

- self care activities (e.g. dressing, cutlery use, toileting, limited food preferences)
- school readiness (scissor skills, handwriting, attention, organisation)
