We had the pleasure of visiting the gourmet galah whilst on our honeymoon at springbrook. It was amazing! We had the tapas for 2 with a bottle of french champagne. It was the best food that we have had out in a very long time. everything was cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with some dessert which didn't disappoint! Everything here is made on site from their own two hands, and it shows in the quality and presentation of the food. the views were amazing and got to see some nice birds while dining. We cant wait to go back there!
I went to this cafe last week with my husband and mother and what a surprise. It would have to be one of the best cafes we have been to. We sat in the garden and had great food. We had a picnic plate, Wild caught barramundi and a steak sandwich. My husband was blown away with his steak sandwich.
After our lunch we had three homemade Icecreams Avocado,Lavender and Rum and Raisin they were delicious. We walked around the garden and took photos of the birds feeding. Thanks guys for a great day we will be back.
In response to Black Widows comment we are happy to provide water for our diners by the glass. Black Widow and partner had one scone and one tea between the two of them. they didnt ask for water while dining, on leaving they asked us to fill there water bottle, we are sorry but we don't consider it hygenic or our hospitable duty to fill peoples water bottles for them to take away.We are on tank water which costs us money to fill. we sell water as part of our business for people to take away.
Having previously frequented this cafe we were looking forward to enjoying a tea and scone in a lovely garden setting.
Normally, when you spend money at a location you would expect water to be provided at your table, it being a hot day after all.
However, we were told in no uncertain terms that we would have to go a kilometre down the road to the nearest picnic ground to fill up our water bottle.
Yes, the location was all very lovely but the GGCR needs to add some more hospitable into their hospitality.
