A place I like to dine on special occasions. The produce, wine and attention to detail is all pretty much faultless every time. We were a party of 8 people on the day of the Grand Prix. We were seated in one of their beautiful private dinning rooms that have large windows facing onto Southbank & the Yarra. Apart from a securing deposit ( because of the event that day & the size of the booking) they were pleased to accomodated us when booking only 1 week beforehand. The stand out dishes at our table were Entree: smoked eel or pork belly. Main: Salmon ( outstanding) or beef steak (always impeccable). Dessert: brle

Quality restaurant at Southgate, Southbank. Lovely decor & atmosphere. Excellent wait staff who gave just the right amount of attention. A little pricey, but for this area it's to be expected and given the quality and presentation of the food I can accept it. Food was beautiful - especially the mains. The apple tart for dessert was good, but not spectacular and given the price, perhaps was a little bit of a let down. Only other negative was the toilets - not terrible, but pretty average, especially compared to the dining area - could do with a renovation in this area.

Beautifully romantic atmosphere. Professional waiter that was very warm and friendly. Wonderful menu that stretched my belly.... :))) A lovely restaurant for a special occasion. We had a fantastic wine suggested to us to compliment our meals, it brought out such wonderful flavours that made our meals a culinary experience to remember. Highly recommend if you are wanting a special night out with no concerns of being disappointed.
